2) Setting up the virtualization technology
For this howto we have selected VMware Server 2 as the virtualization technology for the openQRM Cloud environment but of course you can select from a bunch of different virtualization types. openQRM support the following virtualization technologies for the Cloud :
VMware-server, VMware-server 2, VMware ESX, KVM and Xen.
Now please install VMware Server 2 on the server system dedicated for openQRM.

(this one is for Intrepid but works for Hardy too).
Please make sure to enable networking for the virtual machines !
(brigded is needed, NAT is optional, host-only is not needed)
Please notice :
When the vmware-installer ask for the disk location for the vms please make sure to give a directory without any whitespaces so e.g. "/var/lib/vmware/VirtualMachines" instead of "/var/lib/vmware/Virtual Machines". Also add "root" to the VMware-sever 2 users as pointed out in the how-to-install-vmware-server-2-on-ubuntu-8.10.
You can now go on with step 3, Install the openQRM-server
